"It was an amazing experience working with the team at Groupon. To other businesses thinking about running a Groupon campaign, I would say 'just do it! " - Leanne Tan, Marketing Manager

The Challenge

A successful Asian inspired French patisserie cafe based in a prestigious Melbourne location, over six years in operation LuxBite had built a loyal customer base but were looking for a way to introduce their brand and luxury baked products to a broader audience.

The Result

After enjoying 'an amazing experience' working with Groupon, LuxBite completely sold out their Groupon deal, even increasing the original amount along the way, and reached more new customers than they ever expected.

Now in our sixth year, LuxBite is an Asian inspired French patisserie cafe located in high-end South Yarra, Melbourne. We specialise in cakes, macarons and now our newest project Viennoiserie, which are butter rich breakfast pastries. The inspiration behind our menu is childhood, travel memories, and flavours that owners Bernard and Yen grew up with, which are infused in our cake creations.

We decided to run a Groupon campaign as we had been invited to try it out. After learning more about what Groupon had to offer, we thought this would be a great way to introduce our brand to the masses.

It was an amazing experience working with the team at Groupon. Helen was enthusiastic and helpful in every way in getting us started; Ray touched base with us regularly to make sure we are on the right track.

The system itself is user-friendly for the merchant and the process was smooth sailing. The customer comment section is very useful as it helped us understand how we could improve our service. We have had some great compliments, were able to resolve any misunderstandings our customers may have experienced, and also educate them about our luxury brand.

For LuxBite, the best aspect of running a campaign was accessing Groupon’s huge database, which allowed us to reach out to a wider demographic. We had a really great response, selling out all our caps – even increasing some along the way – and acquiring many new customers.

For any other businesses thinking about running a Groupon campaign, I would say ‘just do it’ – thank you Groupon!
