For your coupon to be valid, you have to use it towards a home reservation. It can only be added at the checkout, so coupon codes can't be used for any existing reservations you’ve made or on any experiences currently.

Other rules include:

• Only one coupon can be used per reservation
• Coupons can only be used once – if you cancel your booking, that coupon won’t be valid anymore

How to use an Airbnb coupon

• Select the Airbnb offer you want to redeem
• A pop up window will appear with your code – copy this before continuing
• On the app or desktop site, follow the steps to make your reservation as usual
• When entering your payment details, select ‘redeem a coupon’ and enter the code to apply

Codes must be entered on the checkout page – whether you’re using the desktop site or app. You’ll find a box below your payment method. Just copy the code into there, and make sure you click apply.

Making changes to your Airbnb reservation

With Airbnb, you can make changes to any reservation you’ve made. Just log into your account and head to ‘my trips’ to find the booking you want to change. You can amend the number of guests or dates – but the host has to accept these changes.Once changes are confirmed, the cost of the trip might change. You’ll be automatically refunded or charged (using the same card). The same applies if a coupon was used – you might have to pay the difference or you could be credited with a refund.

What’s the Airbnb cancellation policy?

The cancellation terms depend on the type of policy your host has opted for. This will be displayed before you book. A flexible policy allows for a full refund within a limited time period - you won’t be charged for the cleaning fee or the accommodation fees if you cancel at least 24 hours before check-in The moderate policy provides you need to cancel at least five full days before check-in, and the strict policy requires you to cancel within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days prior to check-in. You’ll be refunded the service fee if you cancel within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in.

How do I leave a review on Airbnb?

After your stay, you’ll be sent an email or notification prompting you to review your stay. You can opt to enter a private message for your host, too.
