The Challenge

Fitzroy Island Resort were looking to drive new guests to their property during their low and 'off peak' periods within the Resort.

The Result

Four years on, Groupon has launched 12 different campaigns with Fitzroy Island Resort resulting in over 1,800 vouchers sold and helping the property to achieve their goals. The team onsite see great value in acquiring new customers with no upfront costs and have an ongoing relationship with Groupon, utilising the platform for both peak and off peak strategic campaigns.

Located on beautiful Fitzroy Island, Fitzroy Island Resort has been in operation since 2009 as one of a few island resorts on the Great Barrier Reef offering contemporary accommodation options.

We decided to run a Groupon campaign as we were offered a fantastic opportunity to increase our base business with minimal outlay.

Our Groupon rep has always been there to make sure that all our questions are answered, and we find redeeming Groupon vouchers is so much easier with the new online reservations tool – it’s fantastic!

This is definitely the best aspect of our Groupon campaign. It makes it so much easier for our guests to book their preferred dates, and the new redemption process ensures that we’re paid in a timely manner. No more lost vouchers!

Groupon has contributed to our ongoing growth; we’ve launched offers since 2013 and each one has been a success. We’re planning our next one now.
