I went to S & K Hair & Beauty Salon with a paid voucher ($89) for Full head of foils. I told Kayla that I am going to attend a wedding in a few weeks, so I would like to cover my grey hair with full head of foils. Then I showed her some of the photos for ideas. After checking the conditions of my hair, she said I don’t have much grey hair to cover, and majority is still dark. Therefore, she suggested doing it with a highlight instead of full colour, so it could be more cost effective for the future maintenance for me to return to her salon. She advised using paid voucher to cover the cost of highlights plus extra $40 for toner and $35 for the trim. I am happy with the advice given to do it in a financially manageable way. However, there is nothing to mention regarding this option might not be able to cover all the grey hair.
Kayla said she was happy with the colouring after foils and toner. After leaving the salon, I met with my friends at 2pm, and they told me they could still see a couple of grey hair which is not covered properly. We took the photos and sent to Kayla to ask if it can be fixed without an extra charge. Unfortunately, after a few texting to request a fix to cover those grey hair, Kayla refused to do it and required me to make another appointment for full colour and foils. She said, “foils will never give you full coverage”. She also refused to refund to compensate me for the cost of having my hair corrected at another salon.
The quality of care and skills Kayla provided is shocking and did not fit for the purpose of dying hair!!
