The Sit Down Comedy Club

The Sit Down Comedy Club is one of Australia’s major producers of live comedy. Established in 1992, it has been a staple of McGuire’s Paddo Tavern in Paddington since 2000. A new show is presented every week, showcasing the varied talents of local and international performers. Some of these have included Akmal Saleh, Kitty Flanagan, Wil Anderson, and Shane Bourne. The Sit Down Comedy Club also offer comedic services to corporate events, such as staff dinners and award conferences. As well as McGuire’s Paddo Tavern, stand-up comedy shows are held in various other locations in Queensland.
