Two or four diners can enjoy a two-course Polish meal, with mains such as roasted pork knuckle, accompanied by a beer each
Sto Lat Restaurant is part of the Polish Club Ashfield, formed following the arrival of former soldiers from Poland to Australia in 1947 following the Second World War. Its name literally means `100 Years' in Polish, a common expression often shouted on birthdays or other celebrations to wish the recipient good health to reach 100 years of age. Guests to the restaurant can choose from a range of traditional dishes such as fried dumplings (pierogi) and potato pancakes, as well as other meat and fish dishes from Poland and other parts of Central Europe.
