However, the story of “The Original Maltese Pastizzi Company” began when the business was founded by the Portelli family in 2005. Charlie & Jane Portelli began something wonderful that Melissa & Oscar have built into the famous ORIGINAL PASTIZZI brand of gourmet excellence. Oscar & Melissa, together with the team @The Original Maltese Pastizzi Company are passionate about all Maltese Cuisine, keeping traditional but also creating some new and exciting variations. Over the last 8 years, the company has grown from manufacturing pastizzi, to now including a wide range of Maltese foods and Imported specialty groceries.
