Niku Niku is the first restaurant to introduce “Japanese Genshiyaki” to Melbourne.”Genshiyaki” in Japanese means traditional grill, it is prepared over an “Ishizukuri Irori” (Japanese stone pit) by placing the ingredients around the Japanese white charcoal. The Japanese white charcoal has a much higher and consistent heat, it can make sure foods are grilled at a stable high temperature and lock in the nutrients and aroma within the dishes we create.
