Kelly's On King Overview

Kelly's On King is a popular pub known for its great atmosphere and selection of drinks. The pub offers a wide range of delicious meals, perfect for satisfying your cravings. With friendly staff and a welcoming environment, Kelly's On King is the ideal place to relax.

The site now occupied by Kelly's On King Hotel was originally constructed in 1859 as The Cottage of Content Hotel, later renamed The Cricketers Arm's Hotel in 1875. Kelly's On King Hotel opened on September 16, 1999, with the license transferred from The Royal Edward Hotel on Wilson Street, Newtown. The pub had an authentic Irish ambiance, with many items imported from Ireland. However, it suffered a significant fire and decades of wear and tear, leading to a refurbishment in 2020. Additionally, the establishment acknowledges the traditional Aboriginal custodians of the land, paying respect to the Gadigal and Wangal peoples of the Eora Nation, who have a continuous connection to the Newtown and Inner West area.
