The Area: Peel Region, WA

The greater Peel Region, located 40 minutes south of Perth, is a natural playground for big and little kids alike, with vineyards, nature reserves and sparkling beaches to tempt outdoorsy types into a variety of activities. The centre of Rockingham is about 15 minutes away, and there are a variety of great beaches and vineyards within easy reach.

Just 20 minutes north is Mandurah, where guests swim, surf, windsail or sunbake on it’s beautiful beaches, or take a 4WD adventure along Preston’s Beach. There are lots of beautiful walks nearby – check out the ‘living fossils’ at Lake Clifton in Yalgorup National Park, or the Serpentine Falls on Kitty’s Gorge Walk. Kids will love riding the ferries wheel at King’s Carnival, while adults relish the stylish bars and restaurants of Dolphin Quay. Groupies of all ages can climb aboard a twilight cruise down the scenic Peel-Harvey Estuary.

The Manor presents well, and grounds are beautiful with a secret garden hidden at the back of the property that made us feel like kids when we "discovered" it.

We were surprised to find this lovely property not too far from Perth. It is so quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The hosts and staff are very friendly and helpful. We found the continental breakfast was sufficient but full breakfast was available. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We are now thinking that we had stayed another night. We will go back and stay again.
