The Experience
This tour gives travellers the chance to see the highlights of both Vietnam and Cambodia. Immerse yourself in the rich culture and history and the picturesque landscapes over 15 days, while enjoying some free time to explore at your own leisure.
Arrive in Hanoi on Day One and be whisked away to the hotel. Explore the city solo or take some time to rest up before the tour kicks into gear. Wake up the next day and settle into the scenic drive to Halong Bay. Watch the landscape of the Red River Delta country side play out like a movie on the other side of the window and then set sail on a V’Spirit Classic Cruise around noon and enjoy lunch floating among the limestone islands. Enjoy breakfast at sunrise on Day Three before exploring Sung Sot Cave, watching a cooking demo and disembarking the boat in Hanoi.
See Vietnam of years past with a visit to Sapa where you can get a glimpse of the lives of the inhabitants while admiring the terraced rice fields that abound. Explore Cat Cat village and the natural beauty of the waterfall before returning to Hanoi that night.
Make waves to Da Nang aboard an overnight train running along the coast. Wander through My Son Holy Land on Day Eight, the religious centre built in the 4th century, before taking a boat trip on Thu Bon River. On Day 10 travellers fly to Ho Chi Minh City, then travel to My Tho on Day 11. Visit Vinh Trang pagoda before taking a leisurely boat ride along the river, getting gimpses of stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages.
Be astonished by the 220km of underground tunnels that make up Cu Chi before heading off to Phnom Penh on Day 13. Learn about the violent rule of Khmer Rouge by visiting the Choeung Ek Killing Fields here in Phnom Penh. Shop up a storm at the Russian Markets before taking a boat cruise along the Mekong River.
Travel to Siem Reap in Cambodia by bus on Day 15 and set foot in the spiritual Angkor Thom Area. Visit many renowned temples before laying eyes on Angkor Wat Temple - one of the seven architectural wonders of the world. Head up to the top of Bakheng Hill for a picturesque sunset before the tour comes to a close. The last day of the tour is spent visiting the floating village of Chong Khneas and taking a trip on a traditional wooden boat on the Tonle Sap Lake - one of the largest in Asia.
