Groupies begin their experience with tea and coffee over scones, jam and Chantilly cream. After indulging in Devonshire tea, take a guided tour through the gallery and admire a large collection of porcelain and antiques. The range, collected from all corners of the world, has taken over 35 years to be compiled and is dated from the early 18th-19th century. 

Peruse the wines at the cellar door whilst tasting a few and stroll through the picturesque rose gardens or 5kms of pathways, where 30,000 roses will be flowering. October and November will also see up to four million flowers in the garden. The experience ends over a platter of German meat, cheese, homemade chutneys and ciabatta, with a glass of wine for each.

Barossa Chateau

Barossa Chateau sits on a 25-acre estate, with over 22 acres boasting a renowned rose garden. Stroll the 5km of pathways and admire over 30,000 roses in the picturesque setting. The Chateau is home to a cellar door and cafe offering light refreshments and sweet treats. Guests can also admire the antiques of the art gallery, with pieces sourced from all around the world. Visitors can take home a piece of Barossa Chateau from the gift shop, such as wine accessories, jewellery, sweet-smelling soaps and cute ‘Wine Dogs’ mementos. The site is also a popular destination for weddings, functions and conferences.

My teenage son and I had high tea here, which was delicious!! We enjoyed looking through the gallery at the antiques, even my son was enthralled with the beauty of the items and the knowledge that was shared about the collection. It also has a lovely gift shop, with a lot of local items, and beautiful rose gardens.

Worth a visit to view the Art and Antique Gallery, along with the gift shop and cafe. The chateau is set on grounds with a gorgeous rose garden. Quite spectacular.
