Diners kick of the culinary proceedings with a choice of entrées including golden crumbed squid; bread and dips with marinated olives and feta or pan fried garlic herb prawns in aioli. Feasters follow up their starter with a main course such as the tender scotch fillet, scaloppini fungi or chateaubriand, a fillet of roast beef served with homemade béarnaise sauce, green beans and peas. Guests wash their victuals down with a glass of wine each.

Creating a multicultural mélange of modern Australian, Mediterranean and Indian cuisine, Cognito Restaurant aims to offer its guests a tour for the tastebuds. The menu includes a range of snacks and meals originating from disparate corners of the world including dishes such as the Spanish vegetable roll, chateaubriand and king salmon. The menu also includes a range of pizzas, pastas and salads including the restaurant’s trademark Cognito spicy salad, made with red onion, green beans, walnuts, olives and feta. Teeny tiny diners can chow down on something from the kids’ menu, with easy-on-the-palate items such as chicken nuggets, spaghetti Bolognese and fish and chips.

We love cognitos! I recommend the chateaubriand - Fantastic piece of fillet, bernaise sauce and potato gratin! We always leave full and very satisfied! A great wine selection and professional service tops it all off! Try it!

Cognito is one of our regular favourites. Great service, good menu. Good range gluten free options. Tart tartains as entree were wonderful.
