What to Expect

Prepare for an exhilarating indoor rock climbing experience. With the bouldering pass and shoe rental, you will have everything you need to start climbing. Bouldering is all about enjoying the process and learning from failure, which is an essential part of the process. Climbing is not only about reaching the top of the wall, but it is also about discovering your own unique style of climbing, regardless of your height, strength or flexibility.

• How does it work? Every climb, or ‘problem’, has been designed with its own solution in mind - the challenge is figuring it out!

• What levels do you have? There are 9 levels of difficulty. Each level is represented by a different colour. Some climbs will focus on balance, others on strength or even coordination. There are climbs to suit every level of fitness and experience.

• No ropes? Rather than falling into a rope and harness you’ll be landing on large crash mats at the bottom of each climbing wall allowing you total freedom of movement and the ability to climb without a partner.

Located in Morningside, 9 Degrees Climbing Gym offers folks a fast-growing and social style of indoor rock climbing. Instead of using ropes and harnesses, participants are protected by a thick, padded floor and use shorter walls with intricate, brightly coloured holds.

• Valid Days and Hours: All Days - 9am to 10pm
• Must be aged 15 or over
• Zero blood alcohol and drug levels are required for all participants.
• Not recommended for pregnant women.
